Richard Gray Gallery has announced that it is expanding its footprint in Chicago by opening a new 5,000-square-foot space at 2044 West Carroll Avenue in the West Town neighborhood. The gallery is slated to open on April 28, 2017, with an exhibition of paintings by Jim Dine.
Designed by Wheeler Kearns Architects, the new space will feature an open floor plan, an outdoor garden, and administrative offices. Gallery partner Paul Gray said, “With many leaving the West Loop due to rising rents, we thought that as one of the oldest and most prominent galleries in Chicago we could catalyze something positive by making a substantial commitment to an area that has the attributes to become home to many galleries.”
Richard Gray Gallery has two other locations: 875 North Michigan Avenue in Chicago and 1019 Madison Avenue in New York.
