Robin Held Appointed Executive Director of Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art

Creative strategist and cultural entrepreneur Robin Held has been named executive director of the new Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art on Washington State University’s Pullman campus. The $15 million facility, featuring fourteen thousand square feet of exhibition space, opened in April.

Held currently works as a consultant, providing fundraising and strategic planning services to artists. Previously, she served as deputy director of Seattle’s Frye Art Museum from 2004 to 2012 and as a curator at the University of Washington’s Henry Art Gallery from 1998 to 2005.

“Robin has a near-perfect skill-set to lead the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art into an exciting, evolutionary next chapter,” said Washington State University provost and executive vice president Daniel J. Bernardo. She will take up the post on August 7.
