Nicole Hensley and John Annese of the New York Daily News report that Russian artist Fedor Pavlov was arrested at last night’s Metropolitan Museum of Art gala for appearing nude inside of a clear fiberglass box. The box, originally covered by a white sheet, was dropped off by a group of anonymous handlers in a restricted area near the museum, close to East Eighty-Third Street and Fifth Avenue.

Members of the NYPD quickly apprehended Pavlov. The artist refused to leave the box, so firefighters were forced to cut it open. Ayesha Hakki, a woman who witnessed the stunt, said, “After that everybody waited for Beyoncé to arrive but she didn’t and the night of celeb spotting was done.”
