The J.B. Speed Art Museum in Louisville, Kentucky will return a fourteenth century triptych panel painting of the Virgin Mary to Italian authorities. The painting, which was taken from an Italian villa in 1971 and then bought by the Speed Art Museum in 1973 for $38,000, is one of fourteen taken. US attorney office spokesman Rovert Nardoza told the Associated Press that no one has been charged with theft in the case.
