Studio Museum in Harlem, Baltimore Museum of Art Among Latest Recipients of NEA Art Works Grants

The National Endowment for the Arts will give out 1,023 awards totaling $74,326,900 to nonprofit arts organizations in all fifty states plus five U.S. jurisdictions, in its latest round of funding efforts. Its announcement included the list of the NEA's latest Art Works grantees. (The last round of grant recipients in this category was announced in November 2014.)

This recent round of Art Works grants will support 960 projects with a total of $26 million. Grantees include the Baltimore Museum of Art, which is receiving $40,000 to stage a “Matisse/Diebenkorn” exhibition; the Carnegie Institute, which will get $50,000 to support its upcoming “Andy Warhol/Ai Weiwei” show, and the Studio Museum in Harlem, which is being given $30,000 for “research, development, and implementation of an audience engagement initiative.”
