TEAM GALLERY OPENS SECOND SPACE IN LA

José Freire’s Team Gallery will open a second Los Angeles branch early next year, according to Nate Freeman at Artnews. This comes two years after the opening of their first LA space: Team Bungalow. The new location, dubbed Team Satellite, will also be located in Venice Beach, near the first, in a 1,000-square-foot renovated post office building at 310 Venice Way. The space is currently open for private viewings but its first show, “New York, Just Like I Pictured It,” will officially open on January 29, 2017, featuring works by Gary Lee Boas, Sophie Bramly, Leonard Fink, David Godlis, Nan Goldin, Peter Hujar, Gordon Matta-Clark, Ryan McGinley, Jamel Shabazz, Dash Snow, and David Wojnarowicz.
