THIEVES TOOK ORDERS FROM COLLECTORS, ARCHAEOLOGIST ASSERTS

It is now almost certain that at least some of the despoliation of the museums in Mosul and Baghdad was organized by Iraqi gangs taking orders from foreign collectors, Eleanor Robson, a council member of the British School of Archaeology in Iraq, writes in the Los Angeles Times. The thieves seemed to know what they were looking for.
