TOBIAS BEZZOLA NAMED DIRECTOR OF MUSEUM FOLKWANG

Tobias Bezzola has been appointed director of the Museum Folkwang in Essen, Germany, reports Andrew Russeth of the New York Observer. Bezzola has spent the past eleven years as head of exhibitions at the Kunsthaus Zürich, a museum he has worked at since 1995. Notable exhibitions organized by Bezzola include shows of Joseph Beuys, Françis Alÿs, and Thomas Struth; he has also contributed essays to numerous catalogues, among them the book for the 2010 exhibition “The Original Copy: Photography of Sculpture, 1839 to Today,” at the Museum of Modern Art.
