TOP COLLECTORS FAVOR CONTEMPORARY ART

In The Telegraph, Colin Gleadell analyzes Art News‘s recently released list of the top two hundred currently active art collectors in the world. The number-one collector is London resident Sheikh Saud al-Thani of Qatar, whose interests include antiquities, Islamic art, and Impressionist paintings. But Gleadell notes that two-thirds of those on the list are interested primarily in contemporary art.
