The Independent‘s Ian Burrell reports that Britain’s National Gallery has announced plans to make its entire collection of 2,300 paintings available in poster format, using print-on-demand technology that will enable visitors to choose a painting and immediately watch it being replicated. The National is the first major British art institution to scan its entire collection for printing on demand.
