United States Artists Fellowship Grantees Announced

Thirty-four fellows have been chosen by United States Artists for 2014 in the categories of architecture and design, crafts and traditional arts, dance, literature, media, music, theater, and visual arts. The fellows in visual arts this year are Willie Birch, Sandow Birk, Edouard Duval Carrié, LaToya Ruby Frazier, Mary Heilmann, Leslie Hewitt, and Wangechi Mutu. Each artist will be awarded $50,000 towards supporting his or her practice and professional development. United States Artists was founded in 2006 by the Ford, Rockefeller, Rasmuson, and Prudential Foundations to support artists in America.
