UTAH MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS NAMES NEW CURATOR OF EUROPEAN, AMERICAN, AND REGIONAL ART

The Utah Museum of Fine Arts has named a new curator: Leslie Anderson-Perkins has joined on as the museum’s new curator of European, American, and local art, reports the Salt Lake Tribune’s Sean P. Means.

Her new responsibilities will include organizing new permanent collection exhibitions, consulting with the museum’s collections staff and an external conservator on the museum’s conservation aims, and working with other museum employees to develop educational, interpretive, and curricular materials about the European collection.

Previously, at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, Anderson-Perkins served as curatorial assistant for European and American painting, sculpture, and works on paper. She specializes in Scandinavian art but has also lectured on other topics related to nineteenth- and twentieth-century European and American art.
