The Walton Family Foundation has awarded a $5 million challenge grant to the Walton Arts Center in Fayetteville. The gift will support a capital campaign to add 30,000 square feet of space to the arts center, reports Arkansas Business’s staff.
The twenty-three-million-dollar project would add a new atrium lobby, expand and renovate the center’s theater, and add space for technical and theatrical equipment.
Planners would like to complete the atrium lobby by fall of 2016. The nonprofit performing arts venue opened in 1992.
