WALTON FAMILY FOUNDATION GIVES $800 MILLION TO CRYSTAL BRIDGES MUSEUM

Max Brantley reports in the Arkansas Times that the Walton Family Foundation has given $800 million to the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. Alice Walton, of the Walton family, spearheaded the founding of the museum. “About $350 million will go to an endowment to meet operating needs,” writes Brantley, while “$325 million will go to the general endowment and $125 million will go for future capital needs.”
