Williams College Is Latest to Benefit from Software Mogul Peter Norton’s Giving Spree

The Williams College Museum of Art is the latest regional institution to get a major gift of artworks from Peter Norton, the king of antivirus software who’s also an art collector and philanthropist, reports the Times-Union’s Amy Biancolli.

The college is receiving sixty-eight artworks by the likes of Tracy Emin, Adrian Piper, Allan Ruppersberg, Nayland Blake, and Christopher Wool.

Norton donated seventy-five pieces to the Tang Teaching Museum at Skidmore last November, and more recently gave artworks to the Rose Art Museum at Brandeis and the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive at the University of California.
