ZAHA HADID NAMED TO ORDER OF THE BRITISH EMPIRE

Zaha Hadid has received an Order of the British Empire for her achievements in architecture, reports David Ng of the Los Angeles Times. Some notable buildings by the Iraqi-born British citizen, who has won the Pritzker Prize, include the London Olympics’ aquatic center, the Maxxi Museum in Rome, and Eli Broad’s planned art museum at Michigan State University.
