WE ARE TALKING WITH THE GUERRILLA GIRLS.

LINK: I want to interject that this is two of the Guerrilla Girls. This is not a conference thing with every Guerrilla Girl. It is a segment of potential Guerrilla Girl opinion.

FRIDA: We’ve never engaged in rhetoric. This is as much talk as you’ll ever get out of us. Our posters have all been about information.

LS: When did you develop? When did you come into existence for yourselves? Were you always Guerrillas, in a sense, or was there a specific moment when a group of you decided, This is the moment?

FRIDA: We were born Guerrilla Girls.

LS: You were born Guerrillas.

FRIDA: We were reborn a few years ago.

IS: There is a question that I would like to ask. I’ve thought about it a lot in terms of what it is that you’re doing. It’s not a very original question. Do you feel that the anonymity, (a) protects you and (b) gives you more power to affect, because
