Klaudia Schifferle is among the foremost artists of the younger generation in Switzerland, an art region of enormous productivity which on the whole has received too little recognition. This exhibition of drawings from the last three years by the Zurich-based Schifferle established her place in the art world and garnered well-deserved praise and recognition for the expressive power of her work. The fact that she also concentrated on drawing in her contribution to this year’s “Perspectives” section of the Basel art fair, ART 16 ’85, would seem to indicate that this medium is closest to her heart
