This show outlined the most recent developments in A. R. Penck's sculptural work with a selection of 41 pieces. All were initially carved in wood and then cast in bronze. Although the original material of the pieces and their figurative quality at first suggest a connection with Penck's larger wooden sculptures from the late '70s on, their small scale more strongly recalls his “Standart-Modelle” (Standard models) of the early '70s.
