Long associated with luminous, symbolically loaded abstract canvases, Domingo Barreres takes the human figure and flowers as the subject of his most recent paintings. Raised in Spain in the ’40s and ’50s, the artist remains committed to the iconic imagery and baroque lighting of his youth.
