As part of the Eighth Encounters of Bamako, African Photography Biennale, photographer Emeka Okereke initiated the Lagos-Bamako project: Nine Nigerian photographers and writers traveled by road across the borders of Nigeria, Benin, Togo, Ghana, Burkina Faso, and finally Mali.
