I'd never see this movie because I loathe Schnabel. Him and his goddam sarongs and pajamas at black-tie events. And on that bloated-corpse body. Enough already.

This movie gave me hope for humanity. It was as authentic as wood and stone and water. Anyone this gifted at ferreting out the wholesomeness of human beings and putting it on film this elegantly ought to be honored. It was sublime. He's a f***ing genius.
