Really nice article on one of my favourite films. Thankyou!
Ever contrarian, ever coy, Howard Hampton was once wryly compared to a lisping Little Lord Fauntleroy whinging to his mommy that he didn't like the crumbliness of his shortbread. An adipose admixture of tiresomely zig-where-others-zag opinions, nerdy punnery, and Match Game '74-level groaned allusions, Hampton is the kulture kommissar of Apple Valley, a jargonistic rock star only a mother could love.
Thanks for the interesting review.
