Daniel Arsham takes a near-scientific approach to art in order to transform ordinary objects—cameras, cassette tapes, mobile phones—into archaeological discoveries from a future, dystopian world. In this studio visit, the artist tracks his development from early forays in photography and painting to a formative collaboration with Merce Cunningham, through to his work today and his vision of the world in 3019.
